JOINT COMPOUND / INHIBITOR
Electrical joint compounds are a key ingredient to the long term service reliability of bolted substation connectors. High Temperature Joint Compound (HTJC) was originally developed for demanding high temperature transmission connectors.  In comparison testing, HTJC used in bolted connections resulted in cooler temperature rises than standard joint compounds. Fargo catalog number VS8HTJC provides the HTJC compound in a convenient 8 oz. squeeze bottle. HTJC16 is the 16 oz. cartridge version used with a standard caulking gun to inject the compound into the filler ports of ACSS-rated compression deadends and splices.

DISTRIBUTION CONNECTORS
Available for connecting smaller transformers in the substation to control boxes, lighting, etc. The AHLS and the BHLS families are stirrup clamps used to tap off a primary conductor.  The LCU is a range-taking parallel groove clamp that can be used for conductor splice and tap connections. The SBS (split bolt) and LC70 series (single U-bolt) connectors are also available for splice and tap applications.

DEADENDS
We have connectors for dropping a cable into a substation from a transmission tower, deadending a distribution cable leaving the substation or deadending cable bus within the substation.  The BR1100N is a single cable bronze deadend for 500 to 1000 MCM copper cable.  BR2100N retains two 500 to 1000 MCM copper cables.  We also offer aluminum AR1 and AR2 equivalents.  For higher deadending loads the SD (aluminum) and BSD (bronze) product families are available.  The aluminum SD86S (“S”- Socket included) for example has ultimate body strength of 20,000 lb.
